Notifications

Your notifications profile allow you to manage the actions (events) you would like to be alerted to when they happen. There are 2 types of alerts, Email and UI. The UI alerts are a running list of notifications located on the Notifications Hub page.

Manage which alerts to receive

  1. Click your Name in the main menu. Your user Profile page will open.
  2. Click the Notifications link.
  3. All of the actions (events) where you can receive an alert are listed.
  4. To change the notification level and type click the radio button to the right of the event.
Type Description
Hub The event will appear on the Notification Hub index when it occurs. Click the bell icon to open the Notification Hub
Email The event will send an email to the account configured in your profile when it occurs.
Both The event will send an email and also appear on the Notification Hub.
None The event alert will not be sent to email or appear on the Notification Hub.
Team Membership Required to Receive a Notification
When subscribing to notifications, only users listed on the analysis Team tab will receive them (eg. statistician and programmer analysis roles).
Observers on analyses do not receive notifications.

How to open Notifications Index

  1. Click the icon link in the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
  2. The Notifications Hub will open.

Filtering Notifications

  1. Click your Name in the main menu. Your user Profile page will open.
  2. Click the Notifications link. There are 2 different tools to help you filter the Notifications Hub page. These filters can be used together to achieve narrower results:

As soon as you change the Notifications filter or type in the text box, the Notifications list will update itself.

The Notifications filter

  1. In the upper, left-hand corner, locate the heading that reads, Notifications all <notifications> (#).
  2. Click the drop-down list to change it to one of the following:
SHOW ALL
SHOW ALL READ
SHOW ALL UNREAD

The Type to filter text box

  1. In the upper, right-hand side, click inside the text box that reads, Type to filter.
  2. Enter your search criteria.
  3. Hit Enter key or click the button.
  4. Content in the notification details are included when the search is executed:
Note
If your search terms contain any space characters, surround the search terms with double-quotes (e.g., "Review Period 3").

Mentions

Mentions allow users to @someone while making comments or replies in Review Periods, QuickView discussions or Issues.

To do this enter the '@' symbol and then start typing the team member name (e.g. @Jane). A drop down list of avaiable team member to mention will appear. You can keep typing the name and Candid will attempt to highlight the name against the available team members in the list.

For example: "Hi @Jane Doe can you please take a look at this section of the TFL and give us your feedback"

User can only mention users that are on the Analysis Team or Review Period team.

The person mentioned will receive an email notfication that contains a hyperlink back to the page that contains the comment.

Note
Recieiving an email when mentioned by someone is on by default. You can change this setting in the notifications section in your Profile.
